John Kostic Jr.

Director, Financial Planning

John J. Kostic, Jr., CFP®, CEPA® serves as Director of Financial Planning at Turner Financial Group. He has advised high-net-worth families and privately held business owners since 1990, building a practice around integrating estate, tax, business succession, and investment strategy into a single coordinated plan rather than a set of disconnected recommendations.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Certified Exit Planning Advisor, John works with owners of privately held companies in the $5 million to $50 million range, usually beginning two or more years ahead of a sale. That runway is what makes the difference — time to strengthen what a buyer is looking for, and to put the tax and estate structures in place that shape how much of the proceeds stay with the family. He works alongside clients' attorneys and CPAs, because no one advisor should be handling all of it alone.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware, is an Investment Adviser Representative of Turner Financial Group, and holds life and health insurance licenses. John served from 1987 to 2004 as an aviation officer in the U.S. Army National Guard, flying AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters and holding assignments as a company commander, battalion intelligence and flight operations officer, separating at the rank of Captain. John and Lisa have been married for 33 years, and they have 2 lovely daughters.
